Community Catwalk
In our quest to develop ever new, fun and exciting CSR team building activities we have developed a challenge that enables your group to fully explore their inner creativity whilst providing funds for your favourite charity.
Your group will be designing and creating a fashion collection that delivers against a set theme. All the materials and clothing will be sourced from Charity Stalls set up by the charities themselves. Help will be available through our own experts who can advise on creativity and help with some areas of tailoring.
Why?
Community Catwalk has a number of stages that focus on team building including collaboration, time management, planning, creativity, drama and of course glamour. It also provides funds for your charity.
How it Works
The group is divided in to teams of 8 and each team will have their own ‘fashion house’. They will receive a brief. For example, a brief may be to produce a collection based around the 4 seasons with a theme of ‘Delivering Customer Value’.
They will also have a budget, many of the tools required, Scissors, Pins Cotton and Thread, Pattern Paper, Tailors Chalk, Tape Measure and of course a mannequin.
Advice will be available through Fashion Gurus who are available to impart their wisdom, Stitching is provided by highly skilled seamstresses and additional items to enhance the designs are available from the haberdashery.
Teams will plan their collection based on finances, availability, once the collection is agreed the fun begins purchasing the base clothing, altering it to fit their models (fellow team members!) and adding embroidery, sashes, badges, whatever works!
Once the collections are completed the fashion show begins, each team provides the background to their design, musical accompaniment and the models. The resulting fashion show will be all glitz, glam, fast paced and exciting.
Finally our guru group will get together to decide who will be the Top Fashion House.
