Teens Unite Fighting Cancer

We have had the pleasure of being able to support Teens Unite Fighting Cancer over the last couple of years. Specifically through our Charity Bike Build challenge, and to date our events have donated 54 bikes, which have gone directly to brave Teenagers rehabilitating from cancer. One of our bikes even took part in the The One Show's 'Children in Need' Rickshaw Challenge, taken on by one inspiring young man, supported by Teens Unite.

It's hard to think of a more worthy, engaging and fulfilling way for your team to spend their 'team building' time.

“It was such a lovely surprise seeing the Teens Unite van pulling up outside my house, and a brand new bike gifted to me to help build back up my strength now that my treatment is over, what a lovely early Christmas present! It was just the boost I needed. I haven’t been in a good headspace and just knowing I can put my mind to something good and build up my strength again is amazing!”

Who are Teens Unite Fighting Cancer?

And why are bikes so important to them?

Teens Unite are an incredible charity, who support 13 - 24 year olds, who have been diagnosed with cancer. At a time of fear and isolation, Teens Unite brings these young people together, offering workshops, activity days, and residential stays, Teens unite offers ongoing social, emotional and physical support that can't be met by medical experts. Supporting these young people from diagnosis, through treatment, recovery and into remission.

The bikes we are able to donate, not only are a fantastic gift to young people having a tough time, but also a fantastic tool in their rehabilitation.

“Teens Unite supports young people fighting cancer from diagnosis through to post-remission. We help them to overcome the emotional, social and physical side effects a diagnosis often leaves behind.

By working with O3e, we have been able to make a significant difference to the health and fitness of some of the young people we support. The bikes have helped to restore their mental and physical strength following their cancer and encouraged them to test their ability and put fitness goals in place. Furthermore, the bikes have given many of the young people their confidence and independence back, which is remarkable to see.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside O3e. Not only have they helped us to support young people through the bikes that have kindly been donated, but they have spread the word about Teens Unite amongst influential businesses who could have a significant impact on the success of the charity.”
