If you're looking for a venue for your Summer Away Day, team building event or evening soiree, then have you considered booking a venue that 'gives back'?
Choosing a Social Enterprise or Charity Venue, means that the money you spend, directly benefits your local community and is a simple way to support your CSR goals. It also makes you look good ;o)
We've selected some particularly inspirational venues in London to turn your head, and get you thinking! All of the venues chosen have great outside space, with a nod to the benefits of Vitamin D and getting your team outside! (and our finger's crossed for our great British weather!).
With floor to ceiling glass overlooking the Thames, and outside wrap around balconies, your team will soak in the summer sun, and enjoy the fantastic views, with the knowledge that they are directly supporting local young people to access water sports as part of a social development project.
We've held many Charity Bike Build events here, with venue hire directly supporting Westminster Boating base, while the bikes built, were donated to another local charity; West London Action for Children.
We ran a fantastic Performance Wheelchair Team Building Challenge here, enjoying the summer sunshine with our client Northern Trust. The venue has a lovely garden but also a stunning interior, should the British Summer weather let you down!
The fee for the venue hire goes to maintaining the historic building for future local generations, as a meeting point for social inclusion, cultural and recreation purposes, supporting enhancements to the lives of local people.
Possibly our most quirky venue on the list! A mobile Community Garden that moves around Kings Cross, as land is bought and sold! Local businesses and schools get involved in tending their own gardens (in skips!). A real social community project! A real talking point venue!
Part of the Coin Street Community Builders Social Enterprise and located just a 2 minute walk from Waterloo, close to the South Bank. The Social enterprise was initially set up to re-invent the local area for the benefit of local people. This was in response to wide scale office development plans in the area, back in the 1980s. As part of the now thriving community focused South Bank, we have a lot to be thankful for! The South Bank is an engaging community focused area, for recreation, social inclusion, employment opportunities and fun! Without the Coin Street Community Builders, it could now have been a dull and un-engaging office district. Booking this venue, gets your team outside in the heart of London and continues to support this thriving community initiative!
